Awards and Recognitions

One award each may be presented to a person and/or institution in the following categories:

  1. K-12 schools.
  2. Career Technology institutions.
  3. Higher Education institutions.
  4. Telemedicine/Healthcare.
  5. Corporate Training.
  6. Governmental Training.

Innovative Use of New Technology and/or Delivery System

Summary: This award is presented to the institution that is nominated for innovative uses of asynchronous or synchronous distance learning, Telemedicine, or video conferencing * technology adopted by that institution within the last 24 months. Emphasis is placed on individuals or groups which apply this technology in unique ways that advance the learning potential of its audience.

ODLA Lifetime Achievement Award

Summary: This award is presented to an individual that has made significant and continuous progress towards the mission of the Oklahoma Distance Learning Association since as early as 1994. Overall importance is placed on the contributions to asynchronous or synchronous distance learning, Telemedicine, or video conferencing* advocacy performed by nominee.

Summary: This award is presented to an institution, or unit within an institution, that develops a unique and/or rigorous asynchronous or synchronous distance learning, Telemedicine, or video conferencing program to benefit learners in any environment.

Summary: This award is devoted to a "behind-the-scenes" technician, instructional designer, professional development instructor, and/or technology engineer contributing to the operation of asynchronous or synchronous distance learning, Telemedicine, or video conferencing environments.
